I've Given Them Up For Good!!!

Well I've finally went and done it. I've quit smoking. And this time for good. I've been smoking for over twenty years. I started when I was around 18 years old. I've tried many times in the past, but failed. This time it's for real. I read an article about the effects of smoking and nicotine on patients who had bipolar disorder and it was crazy. When they were smoking their anxiety levels went up as well as depression and suicidal tendencies. Something weird happened the first day I quit. I was extremely happy and in a good mood and I didn't once crave a cigarette. Now what that was all about I have no idea. Of course four days later I was having a nic fit. It feels funny not smoking. They say it's the habit that's the hardest to break. You know holding the cigarette or being in certain places while smoking. After twenty years of a bad habit it is hard to get use to not having it or not doing it. Make sense? It just feels weird. It amazes me how cigarettes brain washed me. Well no more...I feel better than I have in years. I can't believe I wasted all that time and money not to mention destroying my health. I was slowing killing myself.

Here are some interesting facts about cigarettes and smoking

1. Cigarette smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals. Some of these chemicals include:
*cyanide (a deadly poison)
*arsenic
*strychnine
*formaldehyde (a chemical used to preserve dead tissue)
*methanol (wood alcohol)
*acetylene (the fuel used in torches)
*ammonia (what you might use to clean your toilet)
*acetone (the chemical in fingernail polish remover)
At least 43 of the chemicals in cigarette smoke are known to cause cancer. Another 401 are toxic or harmful. The most dangerous part of cigarette smoke is carbon monoxide.

Can you believe this crap??? I'm surprised you don't die the second you take your first puff. Unbelievable...
